Amico Estates - Kitwe, Zambia

Amico Estates is introducing a local and sustainable supply of frozen and fresh agricultural produce to the Southern African region.

The goal is to spearhead the local industry, starting in the Copperbelt province of Zambia, under the brand name Genesis Foods. Genesis Foods will trade high quality produce in the region and expand outward from this base.

At our base, a production farm will be established shortly and an on-site processing factory where we will be starting up the production of frozen French Fries. This will pilot our brand to the existing local market, before branching out to the regional market at a later stage on a larger scale.

Further goals are to develop alternatives to imports of agricultural produce at a lower cost by producing and rather exporting fresh and

frozen produce to emerging markets in the SADC region. This will lead us to developing a supply chain of fresh food produce to emerging markets, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola.
