Job Presentation
Our Client seeks to partner with an independent and agriculturally focused agent or to offer a short-term contract not exceeding 12 months to a technical and sales candidate to support commercial agricultural producers and products in the Southern region of Zambia - South of Kafue, Mazabuka, Monze, Kaloma, Choma, Livingstone. Professionally and sustainably undertake the agronomic support and sales services of premium and differentiated products to commercial producers within the designated area and to positively contribute to the company’s overall performance.

QualificationsBSc. Agric Degree or associated qualification, preferably with additional agricultural work related certificates or a proven track record of similar work experience in agronomic support and plant nutrition sales to commercial agricultural producers
SoftwareComputer literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint or similar packages
Knowledge OfSound understanding and practical experience/knowledge of crop production, plant nutrition and agronomic principles, selling, marketing and negotiating within the commercial farming sector.
Skills ToStrong inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills to convince both within own organization and external customers. Analysis, judgment and provision of solutions to the day-to-day challenges of sales within the commercial farming sector
Ability ToCustomer service and external customer relations management specific to the target group; commercial agricultural producers. Sales administration applicable to the target group; commercial agricultural producers
Other RequirementsMinimum of 3 to 4 years in an agronomy and sales role, specific to the commercial farming sector, with experience in seasonal planning, forecasting and budgeting
