Most terrible "non" service delivery ever experienced
My 2001 Toyota Prado was taken to the Solwezi branch to find a fault related to the sluggish performance of my vehicle (this same branch is the only service station to ever have serviced this vehicle since I took delivery of it in March 2017). After numerous visits to find out if the fault had been found, and listening to various "stories" about what may possibly be the issue, yet never having found a mechanic actually working on my vehicle (yet servicing those that were brought in on the day of my visits), and requesting the Managing Director to intervene due to the lack of service delivery and supposed numerous diagnostics having been conducted, I was informed to drive the vehicle to Lusaka to have the diagnostics conducted there (at my own expense) to hopefully identify the remedial action required. I fetched my vehicle from the Solwezi service centre, after is having been there for 3 1/2 months (i.e. 14 weeks), and then identified that it had suddenly developed a major oil leak and numerous bolts were missing. My vehicle will never go to a Toyota service station in Zambia again, and I find it terribly sad that this is the level of service to expect from "one of the world's smartest companies" dealerships. Perhaps Toyota Zambia should invest money in ensuring that their mechanics are trained by Toyota-certified mechanics before letting them loose on the country's Toyota vehicles.
