Emerging Cooking Solutions is providing low-income urban families in Zambia with an improved cooking solution that is both healthier and more affordable than charcoal and other fossil fuels. Through the manufacture and distribution of SupaMoto® clean-burning stoves and biomass cooking fuel, Emerging Cooking Solutions is bringing an effective solution to the 850,000 low-income households and the 150,000 higher-income households in need of an alternative to charcoal during power cuts. By using the stove and fuel, the incidence of diseases caused by indoor air pollution is reduced and local economies are strengthened with the use of sustainable fuels.
