Merco (1971) Zambia Ltd. is one of Zambia’s oldest manufacturing companies and has been manufacturing plastic products, since 1973. In 2005, Astro Holdings Ltd. acquired the company making it a wholly owned subsidiary.

We have since increased both production quantity and product range through the implementation of new processes and procurement of new machinery. The company has over fifty machines for various uses such as injection moulding, blow moulding, extrusion blow moulding, film extruders, bag machine, extrusion film printing, extrusion piping, and special purpose.

Our product range includes commercial, industrial, and household products. We are based across Zambia: our plant is in Ndola (the industrial and commercial center of the Copperbelt) and our distribution outlets are spread across Zambia’s largest cities
