Job Presentation
Our client, a group of companies, seeks Chief Financial / Chief Operating Officer to direct and oversee the financial activities of the companies within the group, leading and managing a finance team and having a dotted line of responsibility over other cross functional teams. 8 years in CFO position at a minimum with 3 years’ experience in COO responsibilities, with significant exposure to high quality reporting & analysis and leading project / process operational change development.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
SoftwareProficient in advanced Excel. Coding knowledge is an advantage. ERP systems development / project management
Knowledge OfFinancial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Financial analysis, risk analysis, performance metrics and project evaluation.
Skills ToStrong leadership capabilities to manage cross-functional teams, particularly finance and operational teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Ability ToDrive financial strategy and influence senior management decisions. Analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
Other RequirementsPrevious experience in hybrid CFO-COO role is an advantage. Experience of working within the manufacturing sector is an advantage
Requirements
  • Accounts, Statutory Reporting and Finance Department Activities:
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations and supervise, manage and mentor finance team.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the processes in the finance department and implement best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine reporting mechanisms, develop systems and operational processes to improve efficiencies, increase accuracy and validation of data being collected and streamline data collection.
  • Oversee preparation of timely monthly financial management accounts, and review to provide variance analysis and deep dive analysis where required
  • Manage relationship with external auditor and manage external audit process to ensure timely filing of annual statutory accounts.
  • Review and monitor tax position, including calculations and filings and maintain the company’s relationships with tax authority
  • Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Support preparation of annual budgets, and responsibility for monitoring actuals vs targets, providing regular updates and analysis on financial performance
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop measures to track and monitor project milestones.
  • Maintain transparency in financial reporting and ensure that financial activities align with organisational goals.
  • Identify opportunities in organisation for cost cutting and work with inter departmental heads to implement initiatives.
  • Support CEO to monitor, evaluate and propose improvements to the new and/or existing systems and processes across the organisation by designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change
  • Take on responsibilities to support CEO, in overseeing other shared service departments of the group for example IT department and Logistics department.
  • Fundraising and Cashflow Management:
  • Maintain company banking relationships.
  • Identify and negotiate financing options for projects, including debt facilities and overdraft facilities
  • Maintain financial cashflow trackers, ensuring they are robust and accurately reflect the position of the company.
  • Manage liquidity and cashflows and intercompany currency conversions ensuring adequate funds are available for ongoing company needs
  • Perform financial due diligence on potential investments and projects.
  • Support Executive Board:
  • Support operational strategies by evaluating trends and establishing critical measurements for monitoring achievement of targets and providing strategic insights from analysis
  • Deliver accurate and validated financial reporting and analysis to guide effective policy making and enhance informed decision-making processes.
  • Support CEO in quarterly board pack preparation.
  • Preparation of commercial information such as margin analysis, sales analysis, product analysis and the reporting of further KPIs, making recommendations where necessary.
  • Ensure that financial controls and risk management processes are implemented
  • Liaise with and challenge key heads of departments across the business
