Job Presentation

Responsible for sundry/staff sales and receivables transactions. Carry out accounting and bookkeeping duties in accordance with established procedures. To prepare, book invoices and file together with supporting documents and back charge/recover all issued items including fuel & other stores issues, sundry sales and staff loans

Education Level	Degree
Qualifications	Degree in Accounting and full professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CA Zambia, ACCA, ZICA etc.)
Software	Pronto, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
Knowledge Of	Expert knowledge international financial reporting standards (IFRS), up-to-date knowledge of relevant Zambian laws and regulations
Skills To	Leadership skills, analytical skills
Ability To	Pay attention to detail, handle competing work demands
Other Requirements	Well-rounded understanding of Mining operations. Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) is a must

Requirements

Review and responsible for balance sheet reconciliations
Develop, maintain and enforce financial controls in area of responsibility
Prepare financial statements
Coordinate internal and external audits in area of responsibility
Coordinate monthly group reporting in area of responsibility
Team supervision in area of responsibility
Oversee preparation of statutory reports (e.g. BOZ, Ministry of Mines, ZEITI)
Maintain production statistics
Oversee the mine plan in the budgeting/forecasting process including stock valuations and stripping calculations.
Provide coaching and appraise the performance of direct reports
Work closely with the Mining and Processing departments in reviewing/reconciling monthly mining and production figures
Maintain accounting/valuation models
